Soaring to 90 storeys above the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Skytower will deliver extraordinary luxury amidst breathtaking views. On Margaret Street in the CBD – it will reach 274m late this year, stealing the crown from the government's "Tower of Power" which stands at 260m. The purely residential tower will be the first development to reach the city's height restriction limit.
The Skytower is promising ultimate luxury for their 1141 one, two and three bedroom apartments and four spacious penthouses, including innovative end user technology with high speed NBN and advanced integrated services. The 89th floor will be home to the recreation deck, featuring Australia’s highest infinity-edge swimming pool.
The Brisbane Skytower is on track for completion in March 2019. To meet this deadline, the construction will see up to 250 workers onsite, with construction occurring in higher levels and fitout simultaneously being performed below.
Pumpers started each day with one truck of slurry. To prime the line pump, a total of five cubic metres of concrete is used. The concrete agitator (AGI), more commonly known as a concrete mixer, transports and mixes concrete from the batching plant to the construction site. An average of 30 to 34 concrete agitators (AGIs) are used per day, with two AGIs backed onto the pump and one waiting at all times. This results in approximately 250 cubic metres of concrete pumped each day, and over 57,000 cubic metres of concrete used to date.
Each jump is four metres with 50 metres of ground line and 300 metres of vertical line to the top of the boom. While the pump has the ability to be switched to high pressure, all work so far has been completed with low pressure. This shows that the ability of the Junjin JSP2111 is much greater when high pressure is used.
Working with Hutchinson Builders who own the pump, Flowcrete provide maintenance & ongoing support to the operators. Onsite maintenance is performed monthly by the Flowcrete Group Queensland Branch.
